Custom Surfboards Built for all Levels

From beginners to experts, H•SEA provides a product suited for you. An initial consultation provides our shaper, Holly, the opportunity to get to know you and your surfing needs, allowing her to design a board to get you to that next level.

Shaped on the North Shore, Surfed around the World.

H• SEA was established in 2022 by Holly Coughlan, a surfer and Florida native who fell in love with the process of board design and delivering quality, custom products to fellow surfers. Based out of the Waialua Sugar Mill, Holly has learned from Hawaii's shaping masters and builds each board with precision and the client's surf style at the forefront.

With the ability to ship worldwide, H•SEA boards are accessible to anyone around the globe. Keep an eye out for our logo amongst the lineups in Florida, Maine, Maui, Ireland, and Oahu, just for starters.

Holly Coughlan

My name is Holly Coughlan and I am from Boynton Beach, Florida. I have spent my whole life in the ocean spearfishing, freediving, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, sailing, and surfing.

My true passion for surfing began in high school. I built my first surfboard by hand, a 5'3 fish with glass on keel fins, when I was eighteen in my garage. After that, I continued to design, shape, glass, and sand my own surfboards by hand.

I am currently a student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. I build boards at the Old Waialua Sugar Mill on the North Shore of O'ahu and I have had the opportunity to learn about every aspect of surfboard building from Carl Schaper, Jeff Johnston, Matt Fregeau, and Charlie Walker. I plan to carry on the tradition of building quality surfboards for surfers of all skill levels.
